Dr. Alan Berkowitz Speaking on ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ campus
Dr. Alan Berkowitz will be speaking to the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ campus this week. Dr. Berkowitz is highly regarded for his scholarship and innovative programming related to alcohol prevention, violence prevention, bystander behavior, social norms, and social justice issues.
On Wednesday, Sept. 27, at noon in the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Copper Lounge, Dr. Berkowitz will speak to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ faculty and staff. His presentation is titled, “Current Research and Theory for Preventing Sexual Assault on Campus.”
On Sept. 28 at 5:30 pm in the Copper Lounge on ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s campus, Dr. Berkowitz will present to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students. The title of this presentation is, “Your Role in Preventing Sexual Assault: Recent Research and Theory.” Each presentation is approximately 1-hour long.
The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Rape Prevention Education (RPE) team is sponsoring Dr. Berkowitz in Butte. “With funding through a CDC grant managed by the State of Montana DPPHS, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ has been able to bring nationally known speakers to our community,” notes Cricket Pietsch, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Counselor and RPE member.
