This university makes me question even getting a degree. I honestly find myself in my third year completley shocked at the lack of quality on all fronts. In a class where we have to complete a project as a group and scheduling is one of the make or breaks of the task, I was confused when we were assigned to our groups in week 5, leaving us two weeks to organise every single thing before starting our projects most important content. On top of this the teacher did not mention to us what group we are in which decides what dates we need to be at an intensive and even though I’ve emailed him countless times he has not responded. WE CANNOT PREPARE ANYTHING WITHOUT THIS INFORMATION. Macquarie teachers I’ve interacted with have been very egotistical often saying, “Only a few pass my class.” which was evident when I went through an issue in my second year where I had failed by 4 points, I called/emailed everyone and anyone and asked if I could retake a quiz or do extra credit. No luck, apparently that isnt offered at Macquarie. I later learnt more than half of my class failed by a range of 1-5 points and the course is suspiciously one of the most expensive classes I took. My final annoyance is that almost every single class I take seems to be a copy of another repeating the same content over and over again, none of which would provide any benifit to a career. To sum I feel Macquarie is a greedy money hungry school that activley robs their students of a fair and well rounded education.
