I got into Master of Autism and Neurodivergent Studies. I worry that it isn’t what I expected it to be. Students are treated like it’s a TAFE course rather than a uni postgrad. Is it the course or is it the university?

Three tutors with their own views. What you learn depends on who you get. I suddenly felt uncomfortable asking questions because some can be dismissive with no benefit of the doubt given or because the tutor or educator holds a different view from the student. Currently, during class I have a sense of “shut up, what you know is wrong”. So many of the students’ comments, questions, etc. were quickly dismissed and invalidated. Maybe they are, but an explanation as to why is much appreciated, I mean we are postgrad students afterall.

Plus some other events that led me to find if anyone has left a review yet on this UOW’s new course.

Let’s see if it gets better. I hope it does. On that note, maybe Graham Mylett, you didn’t miss anything and in fact, I might have made a mistake because the census date has passed.

Malaysia UOW, especially the Penang Campus has very questionable lectures. Importantly the lecturer for Fundamentals of IT and Programming courses for foundation students should definitely be improved.

The University of Wollongong is a joke! I applied to study Master’s in Autism and Neurodivergent studies, but after 6 weeks of no response, I withdrew my application and enrolled into a Master of Mental Health & Neuroscience at the University of the Sunshine Coast, who responded much quicker, and were much more professional.
