My general thoughts having studied and graduated from JCU:
– No compassion or care for students (especially if not rural/not from Queensland/International)
– Students treated as inferior
– Name grading
– Blacklisted by the university after complaining
– Staff members are rude
– IT issues are prevalent
– Placement team is unorganised
– Exams are designed to fail a certain % of the cohort, preventing overfilling seats in programs
– Content and its presentation are unsatisfactory

Because it is, all regional universities are, this is where the students get sent to by parents who can’t accept that their kids can’t be doctors. t
The real issue is that these half baked students then work at places like Townsville Hospital, which is exactly why local people who aren’t bogans or on welfare never go there, but fly to Brisbane or Sydney to be cared by competent doctors. It’s one of the many reasons why Townsville is such a substandard city to live in.
