I never thought a reputable university like Deakin would have a very rude rule of paying fees. Regardless of whatever financial situation students go through, they never assist them. They don’t even allow any instalment payments. Very disappointed to see such rules!

I found this subject exactly the same. I am fuming regarding the staff and marking assessment of this unit. They failed me in the section of this assessment – when the text book states otherwise. They even marked me wrong against the definition from the APA. They also posted the wrong links, and lecture notes also don’t even fit the lecture slides, then they expect you to fix them. I even wrote a 2,000 + word letter, contradicting everything they wrote and backing up with Scientific evidence, that what I wrote was correct. Still waiting for it to be remarked. It something doesn’t happen soon – I’m writing to the education minister cause I’m so fed up of the BS from this university – especially the psychological and health department.

Even if you are sick – don’t count on getting an extension either. I was involved in an accident and was waiting for emergency surgery – not extension given. From my understanding that is against the law.

Anyone who is looking or even thinking about going to Deakin – don’t! I should have left when I had the chance.
